The Wilderness First Aid course is a more in-depth and intense course that is the class of choice for most wilderness guides and tour leaders. This course covers all the information included in the basic class as well as prepares the student to take on more of a leadership role in an emergency situation and is geared more towards people enagaging in serious wilderness activities.

Wilderness First Responder (WFR)
Description:
This course is designed for the avid outdoor enthusist that is constantly in the wilderness in a leadership or a management role that would be expected to deal with and treat a dangerous situation. This is the course of choice with many different Search and Rescue groups as well as many guide and back-country operating units. This course is designed to be an intense program with several all-day scenarios in real working conditions.
Wilderness EMT (WEMT)
Description:
This course is designed as an add-on module for existing EMT's that would like to expand their knowledge base to be able to function in a wilderness setting far away from hospital care and other pre-hospital services. This program builds on the existing training that an EMT has and adds to it many different wilderness concepts. The WEMT is able to provide stabilizing care to a patient in any different outdoor setting often times with little to no contact with standard pre-hospital providers and must make use of whatever equipment is available to them.
